Upcycling at St. Brendan's

The students and the art department at St. Brendan's Community School, Birr, have constructed a Christmas tree from plastic bottles. Students across all years of the school were asked to collect plastic bottles, these bottles were then painted and stuck together to form the Christmas tree. This is a great example of how to spread to message of recycling and upcycling to students using the curriculum, by highlighting that waste doesn't always have to go into the bin, it can also be transformed into items which can be used into the future.
