An Taisce piloted a new element to the Neat Street programme with a local town partnership, concept behind the town partnership is to bring together local secondary schools to discuss the issues of litter and waste both in their individual schools and their common local community.

The first such event of this type was run in Tralee recently and was a great sucess. The event was attended by three local schools and gave the students of each school the platform to air their opinions on the issues of litter and waste while also divising solutions to the highlighted problems.

The event was also attended by a representative of Tralee tidy town which added another community element to the event.

The event was such a success that all attending schools have decided to become collectively involved in An Taisce's National Spring Clean.
