Tralee Town Partnership

Other recent development of the Neat Streets programme has been to include Town Partnerships whereby the Secondary Schools of a town work together in their local community in order to tackle the issue of litter. Students from Mercy Mounthawk and Presentation College, Tralee join forces to take part in a litter pick with the aid of Tralee Tidy Towns.

10 students of each school began litter picks at their respective schools and made their way to the Tralee wetlands Center where both schools came together for a photo shoot for the local paper, a tour of the wetlands center and some refreshments supplied by An Taisce.

The day was a great success in bringing the teenagers of Tralee together to tackle the issue of litter in their town.
