Ni Maith Liom Gum @ Margaret Aylward Community College

The student committee of Margaret Aylward Community College put in place an innovative anti-litter policy within their school which looked to ban chewing gum within the school, the reasoning behind this was student disposing of gum incorrectly and sticking it to the underside of tables in classroom.

The Ni Maith Liom campaign within the school implemented a fine for every student found disposing of gum incorrectly, all funds raised go toward the anti-litter and waste campaign budget in the school.

So far the campaign has been hugely successful in reducing the levels of gum being disposed of incorrectly.
