Art Attacking Litter

The first year art class students of St Marks Community College, Tallaght designed a waterproof anti-litter slogan and drawings and displayed them in the school yard which they identified as a litter black spot during their baseline survey. Alongside the art display students also hung plastic bin bags in order to provide an area within the school yard in which students could dispose of waste and recycling while also reducing the litter problem in the area. The idea has been a great success in increasing student awareness while also reducing a litter problem.
