Castlecomer is reaching for the top...

Castlecomer Community School is aiming to reach the summit of it's Litter & Waste programme this school year, with an application for the Green Flag top of their agenda.
"In September 2010 a group of 30 students, assisted by Mr. Behan and Mr. Tynan, laid the foundations for a Green Flag. Their spearhead Blue and Black campaign has been a genuine enhancement to school and community life. One of the keystones has been the active involvement and consultation of the entire spectrum of people in our school – caretakers, students, teachers, cleaning and canteen staff, and others.
Attempting change of this nature needs constant care and management, and the Green School Committee now oversees our pursuit of a Green Flag."
